OUR TEAM
Having successfully run Sound On Sound, Legacy, and MSR Studios for more than 30 years, David has had a broad career in audio, from engineering albums to coordinating broadcasts for network TV. After relocating to New Jersey, he has spent the latter half of 2017 building the new Sound On Sound Studios. In 2024, Dave won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal for his work on "How Love Begins" Nicole Zuraitis.
Tony began his career at Unique Recording in NYC, which he ended up managing for 9 of his 13 years. He then went on to manage numerous other facilities, including Sony Music Studios on West 54th, Daddy's House, Platinum Sound, and his own Area 51 NYC before teaming up with David to manage Sound On Sound Studios.
A graduate of William Paterson University, Chris started at this iteration of Sound on Sound as construction continued at the studio in late 2017. Chris is also an active musician, performing on saxophone, flute, and clarinet when he is not working on recording projects.
A graduate of William Paterson University, Dan began working at Sound on Sound Studios as an intern. Now a staff engineer, he has worked with Grammy Award winning musicians and engineers. When he isn’t at the studio he can be found working as a guitar tech.
A graduate of Montclair State University, Alex first interned at Sound on Sound in the Spring of 2022 before becoming an assistant engineer at the Studio the following year. He also enjoys music production, rapping, and engineering his own music as well as projects he has with his friends.
A graduate of William Paterson University, Kevin has been active in the live music and studio scene for the past decade. He has had the privilege to work, assist, and produce sessions in almost every genre imaginable with Grammy award winning artists and producers. In addition to working at Sound on Sound, Kevin also is an adjunct professor at his alma mater
A graduate of Temple University, Liv started as an engineer for Bell Tower Music, where she Mastered Jaime Wouters’ album Mistakes. She also worked as an audio engineer for multiple shows at TUTV, the tv station at Temple. After graduating, she joined GD PonderRosa Studios as an assistant engineer.
A graduate of IAR, Matthew interned around the NJ area at Gear Studios Inc. and Architekt Music after graduating before landing at Sound On Sound. In his spare time, he enjoys producing tracks for rap and R&B music, as well as recording friends at the studio and local artists.
A graduate of Rowan University, he began interning at Sound On Sound in 2022 and began assisting the following year. He has worked as a communications engineer at MetLife Stadium, a music and sound designer for short films as well as a live sound assistant. He also records his own music and actively plays the guitar and piano.
After graduating from Brown University, Peter spent several years freelance producing before beginning to assist at Sound on Sound. He is also a three-time nationally ranked competitive beatboxer, and has traveled internationally - teaching workshops, competing, and performing.
